Woman dies in yet another botched family planning operation in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: In yet another alleged botched family planning operation, a woman died after undergoing the procedure here. The woman, whose identity was not yet established, has recently undergone a C-section besides a family planning procedure at the maternity hospital in Petla Buruj.

However, from the next day, the woman started experiencing after-effects like fever, vomiting and diarrhea. She was then admitted to Osmania hospital for better treatment by her worried family. The woman died in Osmania while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.

The tragic death comes close on the heels of similar incidents in which four women died at a government hospital here after undergoing family planning operations.
