Next in Tollywood: 9 Releases in 2 Days

These days, people are not showing interest in getting into theatres due to the early OTT releases and high ticket prices. Viewers are not entering the cinema halls unless it is a big-budget film that promises a theatrical experience.

These are really testing times for Telugu cinema. At this point, 9 small films are gearing up for releases in a span of two days next week.

Ram Gopal Varma's latest directorial, Konda, is slated for a theatrical release on June 23. It is a biographical drama of political leaders Konda Murali and Konda Surekha. This film is not hype, even though it is a Ram Gopal Varma venture.

On the other side, there are eight flicks that are slated for release on June 24. The notable ones among them are Kiran Abbavaram's Sammathame and Aakash Puri's Chor Bazaar. The former is banking on the youth, while the latter is targeting mass audiences.

The other films that are releasing on June 24th are Gangster Gangaraju, 7 Days 6 Nights, Pathakam Prakaram, 10th Class Diaries, Shikaru, and Sada Nannu Nadipe. None of these movies created a buzz in the industry circles.

They need to get extremely positive talk to perform well at the box office amidst low hype and tough competition. Thus, we have to see if any of these flicks manage to click well at the box office.
