When Vijay Deverakonda rejected Karan Johar's offer
Vijay revealed that Karan Johar offered him a Hindi film after the success of Arjun Reddy.
Vijay Deverakonda enjoys a massive fandom across the country, even though he hasn't acted in a single Hindi film yet. He is now coming up with his maiden pan-India project Liger. Already, Vijay enjoys a huge fan following in the North and hence, Liger is expected to take a big opening in the Hindi-speaking circuit.
Liger is directed by Puri Jagannath. He also produced it along with Karan Johar and Charmme Kaur. Ananya Panday played the female lead in it. Karan is making sure to release Liger in a big way across North India.
Meanwhile, Vijay has now revealed that he has once rejected an offer from Karan Johar. While speaking at the promotional press meet of the film, Vijay revealed that Karan Johar offered him a Hindi film after the success of Arjun Reddy.
But Vijay rejected it as he was not ready to enter Bollywood at that time. He said that he and Puri approached Karan with Liger because they felt that it will have a pan-India appeal. Vijay thanked Karan for his unconditional support for the film.
Liger is set for a worldwide release on August 25.
