ENC Chief meets YS Jagan, discusses multilateral naval exercise Milan 2024

AMARAVATI: Eastern Naval Command (ENC), Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office in Tadepalli on Tuesday.
Rajesh Pendharkar recently assumed charge as ENC Chief. He explained to the Chief Minister about the various initiatives undertaken by the Indian Navy to overcome the challenges arising in relation to maritime security in the Eastern Seaboard.
Rajesh Pendharkar informed YS Jagan that Visakhapatnam would host the Milan 2024, a multilateral naval exercise, under the auspices of Eastern Naval Command (ENC) in February 2024. Dignitaries and navies from 57 countries were expected to participate in Milan 2024. The duo also discussed various administration issues during their meeting.
YS Jagan presented an idol of Sri Venkateswara Swamy to Rajesh Pendharkar and in return the ENC Chief presented the Chief Minister with an INS Visakhapatnam ship replica.
Senior Navy officers Captain VSC Rao (Civil Military Liaison (Advisory), Captain Rohit Kattoju, Commander YK Kishore and Lieutenant Saikrishna were also present.
