HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh State has received USD $595.04 million in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows during the last three years.

The state had received USD 85.85 million in fiscal year 2020–21, USD 224.96 million in fiscal year 2021–22, and USD 284.22 million in fiscal year 2022–23, said Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash in response to a question by YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Parimal Natwani.

Telangana State, on the other hand, had received USD $ 4,064.96 million in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows during the last three years.

The state had received USD 1,155.49 million in fiscal year 2020–21, USD 1,606.89 million in fiscal year 2021–22, and USD 1,302.57 million in fiscal year 2022–23.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into India fell 22 percent to USD 46 billion in 2022-23, led by decreased inflows in computer hardware and software and the automobile industry, said Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

Minister Som Parkash said that, in addition to the economic crisis caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the primary reasons for the FDI shortage in 2022-23 include a tighter financial climate and a series of financial crises in global markets in general and developing nations in particular.
