Asaduddin Owaisi slams Revanth Reddy for speaking RSS language
Owaisi said that Revanth Reddy, as a youth, initially joined the ABVP before transitioning to the RSS and BJP
HYDERABAD: Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP, slammed Telangana Congress president A. Revanth Reddy for his remarks pointing out the Owaisi family's Maharashtra background.
While speaking at a public meeting in Hyderabad on Thursday Owaisi said, Revanth Reddy was speaking like RSS leaders who usually claimed Muslims and Islam came to India from outside. His comments showed his hatred towards Muslims.
He said, "TPCC president is speaking the language of RSS and the writings of its leaders like Golwalkar and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, who have repeatedly claimed in their literature that Muslims did not belong to India and came from elsewhere.
"Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel are to blame if Indian Muslims do not currently have political representation in the nation, " said Owaisi.
Owaisi said that Revanth Reddy, as a youth, initially joined the ABVP before transitioning to the RSS and BJP, eventually joining the TDP in the direction of RSS. Revanth Reddy collaborated with BJP's Kishan Reddy in 1999 against AIMIM in the Karwan constituency, he added.
"We have not come from Maharashtra. We are the children of Adam. The entire India is ours. But where have you come from, " Owaisi questioned.
Asaduddin Owaisi also slammed the Congress party for welcoming leaders like Revanth Reddy who speaks the language of RSS. He also chastised Rahul Gandhi for his remarks about the AIMIM's alliance with the BJP, claiming that his party appointed an RSS man as the president of its Telangana unit.
