RAICHUR: Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JDS leader Kumaraswamy has rubbished reports of a growing distance between him and BRS President and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Participating at the Pancharatna Yatra in Raichur, along with Telangana’s Narayanpet MLA Rajender Reddy, Kumaraswamy said that, after his father Deve Gowda, KCR is the next big guiding light for him in his life.

Kumaraswamy said that the farmers of the 24 districts in Telangana benefited immensely with the Kaleshwaram project constructed by the BRS government. Thanks to KCR’s vision through Mission Bhagiratha scheme, every household in Telangana is getting clean drinking water, he claimed.

Accusing the BJP and the Congress for the backwardness of Karnataka, the JDS leader said that he would implement all the welfare schemes of Telangana once coming to power in Karnataka.

100 from Maharashtra join BRS

Meanwhile, the BRS party is spreading fast across the states. Many prominent leaders from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha have already joined the BRS in the presence of KCR and now it is the turn of politicians from Maharashtra. Many senior political leaders and celebrities of Maharashtra are showing interest in joining the BRS party in the presence of KCR during a public meeting to be held in Nanded on February 5.

Already, Minister Indrakaran Reddy, Government Whip Balka Suman, MLA Jogu Ramanna, TSIIC Chairman Balamallu, Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Ravinder Singh and others are busy putting in the arrangements for the meeting. Indrakaran Reddy is personally touring in Nanded district extensively, meeting and inviting leaders who are eager to join the BRS.

Giving a shot in the arm to this initiative, close to 100 public representatives from the border regions of Maharashtra, along with Rathi Sarpanch Mallesh in Bokara mandal joined BRS on Thursday in the presence of Minister Indrakaran Reddy. The minister welcomed them into the party while sarpanch Mallesh said that he joined BRS after seeing the many welfare schemes being implemented by Chief Minister KCR.

Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran Reddy said that after seeing the welfare schemes being implemented by KCR, the leaders from various states are joining the BRS. Later, the minister met the people of Mathud and other villages and exhorted them to attend the KCR meeting to be held in Nanded on 5th February in large numbers.
