Poll code doesn't impede TRS general body meet on Oct 5: KCR

HYDERABAD: TRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has asserted that the party general body meeting would take place at Telangana Bhavan here as originally scheduled at 11 am on October 5, 2022 (Vijaya Dasami).

In a statement released on Monday, KCR said that the issuance of the bypoll notification for the Munugodu Assembly constituency would not affect the conduct of the general body meeting on October 5.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the party general body meeting would be held at the Telangana Bhavan at 11 am on October 5, as previously announced.

The meeting assumes significance as KCR is widely expected to arrive at a formal decision on converting the TRS into a national party on October 5. Speculation to this effect has been swirling in the media for the last few days.
