University of Hyderabad to host Whale Tank Event

HYDERABAD : The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA), in collaboration with ASPIRE-University of Hyderabad and other leading incubation centres in the country in the biotech sector, is organising "Whale Tank Event, a Venture Capital-Biotech Startup Connect," which will take place virtually on August 18–19, 2022.
This Whale Tank event will bring together incredible start-ups, venture investors, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and premier incubation centres on a single platform. The goal of this event is to encourage prospective investments in bio start-ups and to foster India's start-up ecosystem in the life sciences domain. It is a fantastic opportunity for bio or life sciences startups, such as MedTech, AgriTech, FemTech, Digital Health, eHealth, and Health-Tech.
This event provides a venue for exchanges between startups seeking financing and investors/venture capitalists; startups and Big Pharma/Biopharma leaders seeking investments, technology/product outsourcing, and collaborations; startups and CEOs of premier incubation centres for creating a favourable environment; and startups and enablers of the laboratory supply and equipment ecosystem.
This two-day programme provides a unique chance for large pharmaceutical and biotech organisations to analyse and make wise investments in technologies and products. It provides an opportunity for participating startups to demonstrate their product or technology to global industry leaders, promote their technologies, and seek financing from well-known VCs. Genome Capital, Indian Angel Network, BioAngels, Oyster Venture Partners, Technology Development Board-GoI, Idea Spring, and other venture capitalists will attend the event.
