19-yr-old girl found dead in Vikarabad district, murder suspected

HYDERABAD: Sirisha, a 19-year-old girl, a native of Kadlapur village, in Parigi mandal of Vikarabad district, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Sunday afternoon, raising fears of her gruesome murder. Her dead body, bearing injuries that were apparently inflicted with some sharp objects, was found on the outskirts of the village. It is suspected that she died on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

According to police, the girl left her home around 10 pm on Saturday by locking her father inside but never returned. Villagers on Sunday afternoon found her dead body soaked in blood. They identified her with the help of her scarf (Chunni) and informed the police. Parigi DSP Karunasagar Reddy rushed to the spot.

Police found blade-cut marks on her body and deep gashes in her eyes which, they suspect, could have been inflicted with sharp objects. Her dead body was shifted to Parigi Government Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The DSP has assured the family members of justice after a thorough investigation into what is being believed as a gruesome murder.
