4 killed on the spot as car rams into autorickshaw in Medak district

MEDAK: At least four persons were killed while two others grievously injured in a ghastly road accident in Medak district on Sunday. The mishap occurred after a car rammed into an autorickshaw from behind at the Vallur forest area of Narsingi mandal.

The deceased were identified as Shekhar (45) and Yashwant (11) from Alur and elderly couple Manemma (60) and Balanarsaiah (65) from Gajwel. Kavitha and Avinash were injured in the incident.

According to the police, six persons belonging to Alur of Armoor mandal were going to Gajwel in an autorickshaw on Sunday morning. When the auto arrived at the Vallur forest area of Narsingi mandal, it was hit by a speeding car from behind resulting in the instant death of the four persons.

After receiving the information from locals, Narsingi Sub Inspector Narsingulu and Chegunta Sub Inspector Prakash Goud reached the spot with their teams and shifted the dead bodies to Ramayampet hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the car who caused the accident is said to be absconding.
