Bhatti should have become Chief Minister: Wife Nandini sparks controversy
Speaking during an interview to a YouTube channel, Nandini said, "He has commitment and vision. If he is made the Chief Minister, not just Madhira, but the fate of poor in Telangana will change."
HYDERABAD: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka's wife Nandini has made sensational allegations that the Congress should have nominated Bhatti as the Chief Minister.
In a interview to a YouTube channel, Nandini said, "He worked very passionately for 10 years. He should have been made the Chief Minister. He has commitment and vision. If he is made the Chief Minister, not just Madhira, but the fate of poor in Telangana will change. It was with this intent that he worked hard day and night."
Before the elections, many felt that Bhatti Vikramarka was in the race to become the Chief Minister as he is senior Dalit leader.
On being asked why the Congress did not nominate a Dalit as Chief Minister despite making an electoral promised, she said, "Our time stood still when I heard the news that Bhatti was named Deputy Chief Minister. We were disappointed as our cadre worked hard for 10 years. But we just accepted that fact and didn't rebel and are now happy with what we have."
