HYDERABAD: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has assured all possible help to tribal lady Eshwaramma who is recovering at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) after a horrific attack and rape by the accused in Mola Chintalapalli in Kollapur mandal of Nagarkurnool district.

The Depuy CM along with Minister Jupally Krishna Rao visited NIMS on Monday and enquired about the health of the victim. They met Eshwaramma’s family members at the hospital and consoled them. The Ministers asked the doctors to provide better treatment and discharge him after full recovery.

Later speaking to media he said that the ghastly issue was not an isolated incident but a concern to every human being. “The accused have already been arrested. Complete information will be collected and strict action will be taken. The State Government will provide all possible help to the family,” he said.

He said that the incident of the rape of a Chenchu tribal woman was shocking. “This is an incident that affects all of humanity. This is something that should be strongly condemned by the entire society,” Bhatti pointed out.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government would provide free medical assistance to Eshwaramma free of cost. “We will provide her an Indiramma house, her two children will be educated in the Gurukul school to the extent that they study, and agricultural land for cultivation will be allocated to her by the Government,” he announced.

He said two of her relatives in addition to her brother-in-law and her elder sister, were reported to be present at the house at the time of the incident. “The accused have been sent to judicial custody and strict action will be taken against them,” he said. He said strict action would be taken against the culprits so that such incidents were not repeated in the state.

Jupally Krishna Rao said that the victim was rushed to Nagarkurnool hospital as soon as the information of the incident was received, and was shifted to NIMS for better treatment. He said the Chief Minister was apprised of the incident.
