"BJP, Congress instilling fear among govt employees": Former TJAC member on suspension of 106 Siddipet staffers
Emphasising that it was a natural process during elections for any political party to meet voters, Deviprasad said that the employees did not participate in any campaign as alleged.
HYDERABAD: Former president of the Telangana Government Employees JAC Deviprasad has condemned the suspension of 106 employees by the Siddipet district collector and said that the BJP and the Congress had raised a complaint on purpose to instill fear among Government employees.
"It is not correct to suspend 106 lower class employees on the pretext of participating in a political meeting in Siddipet. BRS Medak Lok Sabha candidate P Venkatrama Reddy went to the meeting organised by the employees to discuss their problems and asked them to vote in the Parliament elections,' said Deviprasad.
Emphasising that it was a natural process during elections for any political party to meet voters as part of their campaign, Deviprasad said that the employees did not participate in any election campaign as alleged.
"That meeting was not organised by employees for election. We condemn the attitude of the BJP and the Congress which wants to instill fear among Government employees before elections and had thus filed a complaint with the Election Commission," he said.
"We want the Election Commission to conduct a comprehensive investigation in this matter and find out the truth about the employees and revoke the suspension. There is a risk of creating a sense of insecurity among employees due to such actions," Deviprasad added.
