KHAMMAM: Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah, speaking at the ‘Rytu Gosa-BJP Bharosa’ public meeting in Khammam on Sunday ruled out any truck with the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in the ensuing polls.

“The steering wheel of the car is in the hands of the Majlis (AIMIM) party of Asaduddin Owaisi. How can BJP think of an alliance with such a party who is guided by the ‘Razakars’ that took the lives of thousands of young men and women in Telangana,” Shah said, refuting allegations by the Congress party president Mallikharjun Kharge in Chevella on Saturday. Kharge called BRS the B party of the BJP.

“BJP will not have anything to do with BRS which has an alliance with the Razakar party, we won't even share the same stage with the Majlis,” Shah said. Reminding the people of Telangana that the Telangana Liberation Day was fast approaching on September 17, he said that the BJP would ensure the defeat of the BRS party as people didn’t die, being ruled by a Razakar-led political party.

Calling Bhadrachalam the Ayodhya of the south, Amit Shah said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) even stopped offering the traditional silk robes to Lord Sri Rama of Bhadrachalam fearing the wrath of the Majlis party. “The car goes up to Bhadrachalam but not the temple because the steering wheel is in the hands of Majlis,” the Union Minister said.

“Don’t worry KCR, you will not be Chief Minister anymore, the BJP CM will take a lotus to lord Shri Ram of Bhadrachalam,” he said. He further pointed out that the State BJP leaders were not afraid of the tactics implemented by the BRS Government to create fear among them.

“They (BRS Govt) tried that on Etela, Bandi, and Kishan Reddy. But our leaders are not afraid of arrests and cases. This time there will be no KCR or KT Ramarao but there will be a BJP Chief Minister after the elections,” he said.

Asking the people not to vote for the family-run political parties, Amit Shah compared the Congress to 4G meaning a four-generation rule, the BRS as the 2G the two-generation rule, and the AIMIM a 3G a three-generation rule party. “But the BJP is a people-ruled party,” he said.

Blaming the BRS Government and the Congress for neglecting the farming community, Amit Shah said that the Narendra Modi Government allocated Rs 1,28,000 crore in the budget for agriculture while the Congress allocated only Rs 22,000 crore.

“While the Congress gave Rs 7,00,000 crore as financial input to farming the Modi Government has spent Rs 20,00,000 crore. The MSP on paddy rose by 67 percent, and a Rs 2.60 lakh crore Kisan Samrudhi fund was established to benefit 11 crore farmers,” the Union Minister said.

The BJP leader said that the Narendra Modi Government had allocated Rs 2.80 lakh crore to Telangana while the Congress during its rule gave Rs 2 lakh crore for the entire erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. “The Modi Government allocated 33 lakh toilets in Telangana alone, five kg of rice to 1.90 lakh poor every month, gave 11 lakh gas connections, and houses for 2.5 lakh poor in Telangana,” he said.

Earlier Amit Shah reached Khammam from Gannavaram Airport in Andhra Pradesh on a special helicopter. After the public meeting, the Senior BJP leader closeted with the Telangana BJP cadre to chalk out a strategy for the ensuing Assembly elections in the State.
