BRS calls for protests in Telangana against Revanth Reddy’s ‘3-hr-free-power-enough-for-farmers’ comment
The BRS has called for two-day state-wide protests against statement of TPCC president A Revanth Reddy that three hours of free power is enough for farmers
HYDERABAD: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has called for two-day state-wide protests against statement of TPCC president A Revanth Reddy that three hours of free power is enough for farmers.
BRS working president and Minister K T Rama Rao called upon people and BRS activists to organise large-scale protests against the unruly observations and statements made by Revanth Reddy at TANA conference in Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, USA.
He called upon people to burn the effigies of the Congress party in every village resenting the statement of the party that Telangana farmers didn’t require 24-hour free power.
The Congress had been nursing an evil thought of scrapping the free electricity to farmers. KTR said that the Congress had the dubious distinction of causing severe hardship to farmers by not providing sufficient power to them during its regime. The party had once again exposed its anti-farmer policies by stating that Telangana farmers didn’t need 24-hour free power.
He urged people and farmers to oppose the Congress party’s attitude vehemently.
