HYDERABAD: BRS candidate Naveen Kumar Reddy won the local body MLC elections in Mahbubnagar by 108 votes by defeating his Congress rival.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) said in a statement here on Sunday congratulated every party leader, MLA, and former MLA who worked for the success of the party. “Special thanks to the representatives of the local bodies of Mahabubnagar district,” KTR said.

KTR expressed happiness over winning the MLC seat in CM's home district. “This victory has increased our responsibility. This is the victory of the BRS in the CM's district. This is the turning point in Telangana politics,” KTR observed.

Describing the victory as a verdict against the ruling party, KTR said that this was the result of the failure of the Congress Government in six months. “All members of the BRS family who worked hard for the victory of the pink party in the by-election to the local bodies in Mahabubnagar a heartfelt thanks... best wishes... congratulations,” KTR said.
