BRS MLA Padi Koushik Reddy booked for violating election code

HYDERABAD: A case has been registered against BRS MLA Padi Koushik Reddy and his supporters for violating the Election Model Code of Conduct rules and the 144- Cr.P.C section.

According to the complaint Bonala Anji Reddy, BRS MLA candidate Padi Koushik Reddy and his supporters assaulted him on December 3, 2023, preventing him from performing his legitimate duty.

Koushik Reddy also abused Bonala Anji Reddy and other police officers in foul language and threatened them with dire consequences when they asked him and his supporters to refrain from gathering near the counting centre. He abused Anji Reddy despite the fact that the Election Model Code of Conduct rules and Section 144 of the Penal Code were in effect.

The case was registered on December 3, 2023 against Padi Koushik Reddy and his followers under Crime No 686/2023 u/s 188,353,290,506 r/w 34 IPC.
