BRS MLAs affirm unwavering support for KCR amidst political speculations

HYDERABAD: Four BRS MLAs, who met Telangana Chief Minister on Tuesday, dismissed allegations of joining the Congress, reaffirming their unwavering support for BRS President K Chandrashekar Rao. They emphasized their loyalty to President K Chandrashekar Rao and expressed concerns over protocol, constituency issues, and Congress government policies.

During a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Narsapur's Sunitha Lakshmareddy, Dubbaka's Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, and Zaheerabad's K. Manik Rao clarified that their meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy focused on addressing issues in the Medak district, not political realignment.

The MLAs also questioned the implementation of the Mahalakshmi and Yuva Vikasam guarantee schemes promised in the Congress manifesto.

Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy underscored their allegiance, stating, "We will only work under the leadership of BRS President K Chandrashekar Rao."

Highlighting the purpose of their meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Sunita Lakshma Reddy said , "When I spoke about protocol disputes in my constituency, I met IG Shivdhar Reddy, and similarly, I met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the same issue.

It is our right to inform the Chief Minister about the problems and development of the constituencies. We have no intention of changing the party. We did not negotiate with anyone. Our meeting with the Chief Minister aimed to explain the problems of the Medak district. Some people are trying to create negative propaganda, but our superiors have complete confidence in us. We will be with KCR till our last breath."

Sunita Lakshmareddy warned against negative propaganda and hinted at filing a defamation suit if their reputation is tarnished. She also highlighted concerns over the lack of clarity in government policies and emphasized the need for a comprehensive review of parliamentary proceedings post the Medak Parliament session.

Dubbaka MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy said, "As BRS MLAs, we will meet Revanth Reddy another hundred times, every time, anywhere, for people's issues." He questioned the implementation of Congress promises and expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of water release from Mallannasagar.

The four BRS MLAs affirmed their commitment to the BRS and their intention to collaborate with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to address the concerns of the Medak district, dispelling any rumors of political shifts.
