BRS releases ‘Congress 420 promises’ booklet, questions harping on only six guarantees
BRS demanded that the Congress Government must start fulfilling all the promises within the stipulated dates instead of waiting for the Lok Sabha elections to set in.

HYDERABAD: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) released a booklet enlisting all the 420 different promises made by the Congress before the recent elections on Wednesday.
It wanted the people to recall that the Congress which was harping on fulfilling only six guarantees, made 420 such promises only to cheat the people of Telangana. “It is only to remind the Congress that It cannot procrastinate implementing promises waiting for the election commission to impose the model code of conduct,” the party said in its statement.
The BRS said that it was ironic that the number of promises made was 420, resembling IPC section 420 slapped on a person when someone intentionally cheats or acts dishonestly.

The 27-page booklet contained 420 promises which were categorised into 21 different subheads that included, six guarantees, agriculture, youth, education, Telangana martyrs, irrigation, ST, SC, BC, minority welfare, other welfare, women, medical, industries, rural, employment, housing, development of Hyderabad, tourism, environment, and others.
