BRS true follower of Dr. BR Ambedkar’s teachings, educate, agitate, organise: KTR

HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has said that the party under the leadership of K Chandrashekar Rao continued the Telangana struggle for 14 years, mobilising lakhs of people with the spirit of Babasaheb Ambedkar: educate agitate and organise.
KTR participated in the birth anniversary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday and offered floral tributes to the architect of India’s constitution.
“We achieved Telangana state only through people's struggle, our government worked for ten years as per the teachings of Ambedkar and his ambitions,” KTR said. He said that the BRS Government established 1,022 gurukulas with his idea that development comes with education, progress comes with development and equality comes with progress.
“Lakhs and ten lakhs of future citizens of Telangana who came out of these are studying in many higher educational institutions today. When all of them rise in life, inequalities in the society will automatically vanish,” he observed.
He said that the BRS Government built the world's largest 125-foot statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar in Hyderabad as a mark of respect. “KCR said that what we have set up is not a statue but a revolution. He named the State secretariat after Babasaheb Ambedkar,” he added.
KTR noted that Baba Saheb Ambedkar was a great leader comparable to Mahatma Gandhi. Welfare programs organised in the State during BRS rule for the Dalit and tribal communities were the result of Ambedkar's idealogy.
“We should all remember the great tribute given to him at Columbia University that Ambedkar is the father of modern India. We need to continue the spirit of the Constitution till we achieve equality in the society,” KTR said.
He called upon people to understand the conspiracies of certain political parties so that the constitution would not be endangered. “Everyone should work together for Ambedkar's ideas and his hopes. I appeal to all of us to move forward in that direction,” KTR said.
