HYDERABAD: Telangana Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy on Wednesday said that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would play a vital role in Indian Politics. In a statement here, Niranjan Reddy expressed happiness at the TRS becoming a national party and said that the development of Telangana stood as a model for India and KCR's ideas would be necessary for the country.
"Eight years of Modi's rule has nothing but empty promises. The country has become bankrupt in all fields," said the agriculture minister.
"Increase in minimum support prices is an illusion, the linkage of employment guarantee to agriculture, implementation of Swaminathan Committee recommendations, doubling of farmers' income have all been ignored," said Niranjan Reddy. Steep rise in the prices of fertilizers, petrol and diesel have devastated the farmers and the common man, added Reddy.
"Demonetisation, bringing black money back to the country and implementation of GST are the failed attempts of the BJP government which had left the country in tatters," said the agriculture minister. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made the common man's life difficult by hiking the gas prices.
"In eight years, Telangana has implemented development and welfare schemes like no other state and stood as a role model for the country. With the support of the entire nation, BRS would create a new history under the leadership of KCR," added Niranjan Reddy.
