HYDERABAD: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan informed Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH) students on Tuesday that she had discussed the students request with JNTUH Vice Chancellor Katta Narasimha Reddy.

She also stated that the Vice Chancellor visited Rajbhavan twice for discussions after consulting academic bodies on the matter. He cited practical difficulties in subject exemption that went beyond their best efforts and good will for students.

According to JNTU administration, increasing grace marks alongside exams was only possible in the early stages. These were completed at Governor's request in good faith and with regard for the students' complaints, she added.

She appealed to the students in right earnest to move forward with optimistic efforts, as JNTUH authorities express their inability to resolve these issues.

JNTU students had earlier approached Governor Tamilsai, seeking a relaxation in the credit-based detention system when she interacted with the students via Twitter Space on the occasion of former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary on October 15, 2022.
