CBI summons Gangula Kamalakar, MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra in fake officer case

HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Telangana Minister Gangula Kamalakar and Rajyasabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra in connection with a case involving a man who is accused of looting money from individuals while pretending to be a senior IPS officer.

The leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) have been summoned to appear for questioning at the CBI headquarters on Thursday. According to reports, the fake CBI officer in custody has been identified as Komireddy Srinivas from Andhra Pradesh.

The accused is said to have a stronghold in the political corridors and bureaucracy of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. The accused has been using it for a long time to carry out the forgery, and deals worth lakhs and crores of rupees have come to light.

According to reports, the CBI team searched the Tamil Nadu Bhawan in Delhi on Sunday night in order to investigate and find the accused. The accused was apprehended while on call with someone on the third floor. After all legal procedures were completed, the accused was apprehended and his cell phone was seized.

The investigation revealed that the accused had the CBI and IPS logos on his phone and WhatsApp profile picture. The CBI officers seized a slew of vital documents and items, including a forged IPS and his car.
