CBI to meet MLC Kavitha at her residence on December 11 for examining
TRS MLC informed the CBI on Monday that she would be unable to meet with them on Tuesday due to a conflict in her schedule
HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said on Tuesday that they would meet MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha for examining in connection with the Delhi liquor scam on December 11, 2022.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLC informed the CBI on Monday that she would be unable to meet with them on Tuesday due to a conflict in her schedule.
In response to MLC Kavitha's letter to the CBI, DIG Raghavendra Vatsa informed her that they would meet her at her residence at 11 a.m. on December 11, 2022.
They also stated that they would meet her to examine her and record her statement in connection with the investigation of the Delhi Liquor Scam. He also asked her to confirm her availability on the specified date and time at her Hyderabad residence.
The CBI letter reads, "Please refer to your trail mail dated December 5, 2022, in which you indicated your availability at your residence in Hyderabad on December 11, 12, 14, and 15 for your examination in connection with the investigation of RC0032022A0053 of the CBI, ACB, Delhi. In this regard, please be informed that a CBI team will visit your residence at 11 a.m. on December 11, 2022 for your examination and recording of your statement in connection with the investigation of the aforementioned case. Please confirm your availability on the specified date and time at your Hyderabad residence ".
Officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigating the Delhi liquor scam had named ruling TRS party MLC K. Kavitha, the daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, in the remand report submitted by the Central investigation agency following the arrest of one of the accused, Amit Arora.
