Centre using agencies to weaken regional parties: BRS MPs
"Kavitha is just a victim but not the accused. We trust the court and she will come out clean," MP Nama Nageswara Rao said.
NEW DELHI: BRS MPs have strongly condemned the arrest of MLC Kavita and said that her arrest was part of a plan by the Centre to weaken the regional parties.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, MP Nama Nageswara Rao said, "Kavitha is a victim of political conspiracy and not an accused. The BJP is making efforts to undermine regional parties in India.
"People are watching what is happening to democracy across the country and in Telangana. The Centre is hatching conspiracies against regional parties. I want people in the State to support BRS as much as possible. We have full confidence that justice will be done in the coming days.

"All the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids were conducted in States where the Assembly elections were going on. Now during the Lok Sabha elections, those who do not surrender to the BJP are being arrested across the country. While there were 200 ED cases filed from 2004 to 2014, the cases by ED in the last 10 years have increased to 2,954 cases. Kavitha is just a victim but not the accused. We trust the court and she will come out clean," the MP said.
