Chikoti Praveen meets BJP leaders amidst speculation of political entry
However, the BJP did not disclose if Praveen would be inducted into the party, months ahead of Assembly elections in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Will high-profile gambler and Casino organiser Chikoti Praveen, join politics soon? Adding more credibility to this rumour, Praveen met several Telangana BJP leaders on Thursday in New Delhi and discussed key issues.
Pictures of Praveen meeting leaders Bandi Sanjay, DK Aruna, Ramchander Rao went viral on social media. However, the BJP did not disclose if Praveen would be inducted into the party, months ahead of Assembly elections in Telangana.
Praveen hails from the Saidabad area in Old City. He was also involved in his father’s petty business of rice dealerships and ceramic tiles before making his name as a real estate businessman and casino organiser. In 2022, Praveen was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate regarding his casino business, acquisition of rare species of wild animals and hawala money transactions.
Recently, three of Praveen's private security guards were sent to jail for using guns without holding a valid license, when they tried to enter the Lal Darwaja Simhavahini Mahankali Temple during Bonalu festivities. He was given anticipatory bail in the case.
