Congress, BJP hatched conspiracy to stop Rythu Bandhu: KTR
KTR alleged that it was the Congress which approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) and filed a complaint to stop disbursement of assistance to farmers under Rythu Bandhu
PEDDAPALLI: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has lambasted the Congress for its efforts in stopping the disbursement of Rythu Bandhu assistance to farmers even before coming to power in Telangana.
Addressing a road show at Sultanabad in Peddapalli district on Monday, KTR said, “By mistake, if the Congress comes to power it will completely annul the scheme. The Congress and the BJP have hatched a new conspiracy and stopped the implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme.” He alleged that it was the Congress which approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) and filed a complaint to stop disbursement of assistance to farmers under Rythu Bandhu.
Referring to TPCC president A Revanth Reddy’s remarks that three hours power supply was sufficient to the farming community, KTR said that according to Revanth Reddy, a majority of farmers own below three acres of land so three hours of power supply would be sufficient instead of supplying 24-hour power.
The TPCC chief had even announced that if farmers were given Rythu Bandhu, the scheme would not be implemented for the tenant farmers, he said and added that people should decide whether they required the BRS Government providing Rythu Bandhu assistance to farmers or the anti-farmer policies of the Congress.
Launching a sacthing attack on the Congress for asking the people for one chance, the BRS working president said that it was the Congress which was in power for 11 terms, but did injustice to Telangana. Be it water for drinking and irrigation needs, power supply, pensions or welfare the grand old party had not taken any initiatives for the welfare of the people except ruining their lives, he said.
