HYDERABAD: A heated political dispute has emerged in Jagitial, with Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy alleging that Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy's aide Gangareddy was removed due to interference from Jagitial MLA Sanjay Kumar over the Market Committee Chairman position.

Kaushik Reddy claims Sanjay Kumar backed Narayana Reddy for the post, while Jeevan Reddy had recommended Gangareddy, resulting in Gangareddy’s eventual sidelining.

Kaushik Reddy further alleged that Congress leaders are accusing Sanjay Kumar of orchestrating Gangareddy's murder. He questioned why the police have not registered a case, despite the serious claims, and reported that Congress leaders are demanding a murder case against the Jagitial MLA. Kaushik Reddy criticised what he described as "murder politics" in the Congress party and expressed outrage at leaders who, despite winning under the BRS banner, later joined Congress.

Additionally, Kaushik Reddy challenged Congress leaders who recently switched parties to resign and seek a fresh mandate, suggesting by-elections would be inevitable in these constituencies. He asserted that the BRS government would investigate Congress misconduct once in power.

In a pointed critique, he alleged Congress leaders are disregarding public issues for personal travel. Kaushik Reddy claimed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is preoccupied with tours in Delhi and Kerala, while ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar are visiting South Korea, and Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao is in Malaysia. He added that Minister Konda Surekha has court engagements and MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is embroiled in helicopter-related disputes, leaving citizens' concerns unaddressed.
