Congress cadres attempt to immolate Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy

WANAPARTHY: In a shocking incident, Congress cadres tried to immolate party Wanaparthy MLA Tudi Megha Reddy to protest against the joining of leaders from other parties.

On Thursday, many cadres from the BRS in the constituency were set to join the Congress. However, followers of Congress leader and vice chairman of the Telangana State Planning Board (TSPB) G Chinna Reddy opposed the move and clashed with MLA Megha Reddy.

During the protest outside Megha Reddy's residence, former sarpanch Ganesh Goud tried to immolate himself and even tried to pour petrol on MLA Megha Reddy.

On receiving information, the police dispersed the protesters. Cadres of Megha Reddy warned Chinna Reddy against indulging in petty politics.
