SIDDIPET: BRS leader and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao has criticised the Congress for recruiting leaders who were disloyal to the party president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and opined that the party can only poach leaders but not the BRS cadre.

In his address to the party cadre during a preparatory meeting for the Medak Parliament elections in Siddipet on Friday, Harish Rao commended KCR's pivotal role in securing the formation of Telangana, underscoring the significant impact of his leadership on the State's development and progress.

He highlighted the need for Siddipet cadre to rally behind the Medak BRS candidate for Lok Sabha, Venkatrami Reddy. He urged the cadre to work for the BRS candidate's victory and asked them to strive for securing a substantial majority to further the region's development goals.

Harish Rao also raised issues regarding the Congress's unfulfilled promises, including the failure to implement key welfare schemes such as loan waivers, pension schemes, Rythu Bandhu, Rs 500 bonus for crop and other guarantees. He called upon voters to hold the Congress accountable for its inaction and urged them to vote for the BRS candidate as a symbol of self-respect and commitment to the State's progress.

Drawing attention to the development projects in Siddipet, Harish Rao criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for obstructing key initiatives and diverting funds away from essential infrastructure projects. Harish Rao also criticised Revanth for allegedly hindering development projects in Siddipet, shifting resources away from essential initiatives.

He highlighted the contributions of Venkatrami Reddy to Siddipet's growth, citing his involvement in housing projects and educational initiatives for underprivileged children.
