Congress govt cancels 3-day holiday for employees in Hyderabad for Mahasivaratri

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Government has cancelled the weekend holidays for the Mahashivratri festival for Government employees on March 8,9,10.

Issuing a clarification on Thursday, Hyderabad collector Anudeep Durishetty said that due to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's scheduled programmes, the Government had cancelled three days of holidays for Government offices in Hyderabad district. The orders stated that the offices should run as usual. "All district collectors, tahsildars, superintendents and staff of collectorate, Hyderabad district are hereby instructed to follow the instructions without any deviation," said the circular.

Anudeep also clarified that the previous order for holidays was only for particular department heads.
