HYDERABAD: Dissent continues to haunt the Telangana Congress as leaders who were denied tickets created ruckus and staged protests at the Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday.
Cadres of Anil Kumar Gali staged a sit-in protest and held 'Covert Ko Hatao, Congress Ko Bachao' (Remove Coverts, Save Congress) placards at the party headquarters to criticise the party's decision to give ticket to Aavula Raji Reddy on Friday. Anil Kumar Gali accused Raji Reddy of playing a covert to BRS ticket holder Sunita Lakshma Reddy.

Anil Kumar's cadre warned that the decision of the Congress would have a severe impact on the party's chances of victory. In the 2019 Parliament elections, Anil came second as a Congress candidate from the Medak Lok Sabha seat after garnering around 3 lakh votes.
