Congress Govt will fulfill all guarantees, assures Sonia Gandhi

HYDERABAD: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi assured the people of Telangana that the Congress government, under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, would leave no stone unturned in fulfilling all its guarantees.

In a 2-minute and 12-second video message released on the 10th anniversary of Telangana Formation Day on Sunday, Sonia Gandhi paid tributes to the innumerable martyrs of Telangana Talli who sacrificed their lives for the creation of the state. She began by recalling her promise made in Karimnagar in 2004 to fulfill the dream of a separate Telangana state. She acknowledged the significant challenges and internal strife within the Congress party that followed her statement. Many leaders opposed the idea, leading to considerable resentment and resignations. Despite this, Sonia Gandhi emphasised that the unwavering patience and dedication of the Telangana people were instrumental in realising this long-cherished dream.

Expressing profound gratitude for the immense love and respect she had received from the people of Telangana over the past decade, Sonia Gandhi acknowledged their mandate for creating a comprehensive and developed Telangana. She emphasised that it was her duty to fulfill this responsibility entrusted to her by the people, reflecting on the progress and development witnessed in the state.

Sonia Gandhi also expressed her confidence in Revanth Reddy’s leadership, asserting that the Congress party was dedicated to addressing the needs and aspirations of the Telangana populace. She conveyed her best wishes and greetings to the people on Telangana Formation Day, underscoring the significance of this milestone in the state’s history.
