KHAMMAM: Internal differences between Telangana Congress leaders came to the fore once again, this time in Khammam.

The preparatory meeting of the Vijayabheri Sabha, to be held in Hyderabad on September 17, was held in the district Congress office on Tuesday. But the meeting turned chaotic soon after Backward Classes (BCs) followers of former Union Minister Renuka Chaudhary started raising slogans in the presense of senior Congress leaders V Hanumantha Rao, Bhatti Vikramarka and former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

The BC leaders demanded three general seats to be allocated to them in Khammam as they had a significant population in those constituencies.

V Hanumantha Rao, who was addressing the meeting, was forced to stop his speech midway. No matter how much he tried to please them, BC leaders refused to relent.

With this, Bhatti Vikramarka walked out of the meeting while Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy remained like a mute spectator.
