MEDAK: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy exuded confidence that no one could touch his Government and the Congress would rule the State for a decade.
Addressing a street corner meeting as part of the election campaign here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that those planning to topple his government should realise that he could not be touched. “I am a high-tension wire. It is Revanth Reddy here my dear. I am not Jaipal Reddyt or Jana Reddy to spare. Try topple my Government I will chase you and beat you,” the Chief Minister said.
Recalling the legacy of former PM Indira Gandhi and her stint with Medak, he said Medak enjoyed industrial development only during the tenure of Indira Gandhi as Medak MP. “When Congress was in trouble, the people of Medak took us under their wings. From 1999 to 2024, for 25 years Medak was under the BRS and the BJP. What have they done for Medak,” he pointed out.
He challenged former BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao, to show the developmental work that he undertook and completed during his tenure. “Both Narendra Modi and K Chandrashekar Rao should ask for votes after submitting their progress report,” Revanth Reddy said.
“KCR’s charm is over. His car has gone for repair. It has to be sold for scrap. He daydreamed that the time of Congress was over. It is not a liquor bottle to complete,” Revanth Reddy added.
Enlisting the welfare measures implemented by the Congress Government he said that BJP and BRS could not digest the amount of appreciation that the women folk had bestowed on his Government. “ I am making a promise to the farmers in the name of Edupayala Durgamma that I will implement the Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver before August 15,” the CM said.
