Congress workers beat BRS activist to death in dispute over CC road works

NARAYANKHED: A Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) worker was brutally attacked and beaten to death by alleged Congress activists in Singarboguda Thanda of Narayankhed Constituency of Sangareddy district.

According to reports reaching here on Sunday, the trouble started after the Rs 5 lakh CC road work was shifted by the district administration to a new place than the earlier one after the Congress Government came to power.

Agitated by the change of the proposed road to a new place, Srinu Nayak (25) a BRS activist met the local Congress leaders. Soon the meeting turned into a brawl and the Congress activists used sticks and stones to beat Srini Nayak. He died on the way to the hospital.

The accused persons have fled the village immediately after the incident. Police are looking out for the accused persons.
