Cops nab kidnapper of 4-yr-old from Ghatkesar at Secunderabad Railway Station
The accused told the police that he had kidnapped the girl to sell her to some childless couple
HYDERABAD: Panic gripped the residents of Ghatkesar after a miscreant kidnapped a four-year-old girl on Wednesday night. According to the victim’s family, the girl was playing outside her house in EWS Colony at around 8:30 PM when she went missing. The panic-stricken parents searched for the girl and later filed a missing complaint.
The police scoured through CCTV footage and identified an individual named Suresh walking near the child. Based on the footage and with the help of a dog squad, the police carried out a search operation.
The police tracked down the man at Secunderabad Railway Station and rescued the girl. The child was identified by three railway police officials while the kidnapper was walking around in a suspicious manner. Suresh told the police that he had kidnapped the girl to sell her to some childless couple.
Meanwhile, Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar praised Rachakonda Commissioner DS Chauhan and his team for promptly solving the case. In a tweet, the DGP said, "Super Hearty congratulations to CP Rachkonda and his team for such a prompt detection of the case which otherwise would have become sensational."
