HYDERABAD: Adding to the political heat generated by the three events that will unfold on September 17 in Hyderabad, a flexi war ensued between the major political players in Telangana.

While the three-day Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting begins on Saturday with a show of strength through its ‘Vijayabheri’ public meeting at Tukkuguda on September 17, BJP will be organising Liberation Day at the Parade Grounds and the Telangana Government will be celebrating the liberation of Hyderabad as national integration day also on September 17.

A poster with photographs of 24 Congress leaders created a flutter in the city on Saturday. The flexi also warned the people to be aware of corrupt leaders. The list included Mallikarjun Kharge ( National Herald scam), Sonia Gandhi (National Herald, Chopper scam), Manmohan Singh (Coal allocation scam), Rahul Gandhi (National Herald scam), Meira Kumar (National Highway Authority scam), Digvijay Singh( Recruitment scam), Chidambaram (forgery, stock market, Sharada chit fund, Visa), Lal Than Hawla ( Midday meal scam), Mukul Wasnik ( Election ticket scam, property tax scam), Anand Sharma (Walmart scam), Ashokrao Chouhan (Adarsh Housing scam)m Charnjit Singh Channi ( Sports kit scam), Priyanka Gandhi ( National Herald scam, DLF land scam), Abhishek Mani Singhvi ( CD recording scam), Jairam Ramesh (Coal scam), Mahendrajit Singh Malaviya (Asst Engineers transfer scam), KC Venugopal (Solar scam), Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary (Sarada chit funds scam), Ambika Soni (Railway Water bottles scam), Ajay Maken (Real estate scam), Tamradawaj Sahu (Cow dung scam), Salman Khurshid (Wheel chair scam) and Shashi Dharoor (Spot fixing scam).

On the other hand, several posters appeared near the State secretariat that seemed to be the handiwork of some anti-BJP and anti-Congress forces. The posters asked the visiting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Congress senior leader Sonia Gandhi on what they have done for Telangana.

“BJP gave Rs 300 crore for Goa Liberation Day and gave nothing for Telangana Liberation Day, then why are you coming to Hyderabad,” the poster questioned Amit Shah.

Yet another poster asked Congress how much old-age pension the Congress-ruled states were paying, while Telangana paid Rs 2,016 per head. Another one asked, “Why did the then UPA chairperson Sonia failed to accord national project status to Palamuru Ranga Reddy.” Other posters questioned the Congress on SC categorisation, three-hour power enough for farmers' comment of Revanth Reddy and failure to spread the IT revolution to two-tier cities like Warangal.
