Cruel act: 20 stray dogs shot dead in Mahbubnagar district, hunt on for accused

MAHABUBNAGAR: In a shocking act, four masked men shot dead around 20 dogs just after midnight on February 15, 2024. The horrific incident took place at Ponnakal village in Addakula mandal of Mahbubnagar district. There were many dogs which were injured as well.

When the locals heard gunshots, they were terrified and stayed indoors but told the police that they heard barking dogs. They said that most of the dogs died on the spot while others fled with injuries and eventually died on the street.

After being informed, Bhutpur CI Ramakrishna, Addakula SI Srinivasulu, and the veterinary physicians arrived at the location. The police are trying to catch hold of the culprits and the modus operandi.
