JANGAON: A police complaint was lodged against Jangaon MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy accusing him of signature forgery. Interestingly, the complainant was none other than the legislator’s daughter Tulja Bhavani Reddy, who accused her father of securing a vast extent of land (one acre and 20 kuntas) in Cheriyal of Siddipet district by forging her signature.

Bhavani Reddy lodged her complaint at the Uppal Police Station in Hyderabad. She claimed in her complaint that the said land was acquired through unlawful means by forging her signature.

Interestingly, the land in question is already mired in controversy with opposition parties holding several protests in the past accusing Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy of grabbing it. The dispute took a curious turn now, with his daughter herself coming out into the open and lodging a police complaint against the Jangaon MLA.

Tulja Bhavani Reddy’s decision to petition against her father has sparked an intense debate in the district on what could be the motives behind her action. It was not immediately clear if this was the fallout of any internal family feuds or political reasons that had a role to play in it.
