NEW DELHI: The Rouse Avenue Court extended BRS MLC K Kavitha’s judicial custody till April 23. On Monday the court denied interim bail to Kavitha, in the Delhi liquor policy scam case.
On Tuesday, she was presented before the CBI Special Judge Kaveri Baweja on completion of ED custody. She was sent to 15 days of Enforcement Directorate's (ED) custody on March 26.
Earlier, the judge refused to allow Kavitha to speak before her. However, she was allowed to meet her family members. While Kavitha’s counsel argued that there was no reason to extend the custody, the ED counsel demanded for extension of custody as she could influence the witnesses.
Kavitha was arrested by ED on March 15 in connection with her role in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi Excise Policy case.
