HYDERABAD: Delhi Police served notice to Telangana Chief Minister and TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, TPCC social media incharge Manne Satish, and four others, all from Telangana in connection with a doctored video of Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Telangana CM and others allegedly shared the video on the official X handle of TPCC. Revanth Reddy must reply to the Delhi police on Wednesday.

The Delhi police registered a case on the edited video which had gone viral on social media. In the doctored video, the Home Minister could be seen advocating the abolition of reservations for SC, ST, and other backward classes.

The Police, upon receiving a complaint from the BJP booked cases under sections 153,153 A, 465, 469, and section 66C of the Information Technology Act and also sent notices to the X and the Facebook.

Reacting to the notices served on him and others by the Delhi police, Revanth Reddy while addressing an election meeting in Sedam of Kalaburagi district in Karnataka said that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister after misusing the ED, CBI, and IT had now used the Delhi police to intimidate the opposition just before elections.

"I just learned that the Delhi police have arrived at the Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad to serve notices on the TPCC president and Chief Minister for some social media posting. No one can intimidate me like this. This proves that the BJP is afraid of defeat in the hands of the Congress," he said.Taking to X former AICC Telangana In charge Manickam Tagore said that he strongly condemned the misuse of Delhi police by summoning and intimidating RevanthReddy, Chief Minister of Telangana.

"No leader should be threatened for speaking up against RSS policies.RSS wants to stop the reservation. This is an attack on the people of Telangana," he said.
