Deputy Mayor inspects Hussain Sagar gates amid heavy rains in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Amidst the ongoing heavy rains in Hyderabad, GHMC Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shoban Reddy, along with senior officials, inspected the Hussain Sagar gates on Sunday.
During the inspection, the Deputy Mayor emphasised the importance of vigilance among residents, particularly those living in low-lying areas and near open drains, as the city is expected to experience more heavy rainfall in the coming days.
The Deputy Mayor advised citizens to remain cautious and take necessary precautions to avoid any untoward incidents. The inspection was part of the city's broader efforts to monitor critical infrastructure and ensure the safety of its residents during the monsoon season.
Accompanying the Deputy Mayor were GHMC Additional Commissioner Shiva Kumar Naidu, Lakes Engineer Aruna Kumari, and other officials, who participated in the inspection and discussed the ongoing measures to manage the situation effectively.
