Development limited to only Sircilla, Siddipet, Gajwel? Revanth questions KCR
I challenged KCR to contest in Kodangal. But he did not accept it as he did not undertake development. This election is a contest between the people of Kodangal region and KCR: Revanth said
KODANGAL: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy has attacked the ruling BRS Government saying that development has been limited to BRS family-ruled constituencies and areas like Kodangal have been ignored.
Speaking at a public meeting on Monday, Revanth said, "The post of Congress president is not mine, it is yours. Everyone in Kodangal is the president of Congress. All of you have the responsibility to bring the Congress back to power in the State."
Taking potshots at the Chief Minister and his son, Revanth said, "K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) promised Krishna railway line, junior and PG colleges and Krishna water to Kodangal. KCR and KT Rama Rao (KTR) have not fulfilled any of the promises made to Kodangal in these eight years. No development has taken place. With what face is the BRS asking for votes today?
"Is development limited to Sircilla, Siddipet and Gajwel only? What about Kodangal? I challenged KCR to contest in Kodangal. But he did not accept it as he did not undertake development. This election is a contest between the people of Kodangal region and KCR," he said.
Asking people to give a better mandate than Karnataka, Revanth said, "This election will bring change in the lives of the people and will bring recognition to Kodangal in the country. People of Kodangal should give a better verdict than Karnataka in this election. Congress should win in Kodangal with more majority than DK Shivakumar in Karnataka."
Listing out his promises if Congress is voted to power, Revanth said, "Within two years of winning, Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation project will be implemented and water will come to this region. Mahabubnagar-Chincholi National Highway will also be completed in a year. We will construct special degree colleges for girls here. It is my responsibility to stand up for your self-respect."
