Eatala files nomination in Gajwel, says election between KCR’s arrogance vs self respect of people
GAJWEL: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Eatala Rajender has come down heavily on the BRS and said that the election is between Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s arrogance and the self-respect of Telangana people.
Rajender, accompanied by Union Minister and Telangana BJP unit president G Kishan Reddy filed his nomination from the Gajwel segment, amid a huge rally taken up by his followers and activists of the BJP on Tuesday. He is taking on KCR in his home turf, Gajwel who won twice in the 2014 and 2018 Assembly elections.
Addressing the public, Rajender said that he stayed almost 15 years in Gajwel constituency in Siddipet district and claimed that he was a son of soil but not an outsider. “Did KCR meet the people of Gajwel when they needed him? Instead, the Chief Minister created several hurdles for the people of surrounding villages by staying in his farm house,” he said.
The BJP MLA also alleged that the BRS tried to spend crores of rupees to prevent the public participating in his nomination rally. Rajender assured to provide double bedroom houses to all those houseless people in Gajwel. “During KCR rule, the old age pension was given only to one person in the house. If the BJP is elected to power, two persons in the same house will be given the old age pension,” Rajender said.
Eatala also said that the finger pressed on EVM is more powerful than the one on an AK-47 trigger and urged the people to defeat the BRS. "I am expecting a huge majority in Gajwel than Huzarabad," he added.
Meanwhile, BRS MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy also filed two sets of nomination papers with Election Returning Officer Murali Krishna for the Jangaon Assembly segment. Rajeshwar Reddy was accompanied by TSRTC chairman Mutthireddy Yadgiri Reddy, Rythu Bandhu Samiti chairman Rajaiah, BRS leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah and other leaders during his nomination.
