Election code in Telangana: Special drive for Dharani rectification stopped

HYDERABAD: In continuation to the general instructions issued earlier and keeping in view of the announcement of the Election Commission of India (ECI) on the schedule for General Elections to Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies 2024, the ongoing special drive programme which was extended till March 16, 2024 to resolve the pending Dharani applications shall be kept on hold.

However, the District Collectors shall continue the regular Dharani related works as usual and as per the prescribed timelines.
However, fresh applications seeking to rectify the discrepancies would no longer be the entertained until the State Government takes a decision after the poll code ends after June 6.
