Ex-minister Patnam Mahender Reddy, ex-Mayor Bonthu Rammohan join Congress from BRs

HYDERABAD: Several leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), including Vikarabad Zilla Parishad chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, Bonthu Rammohan, along with his wife Bonthu Sridevi, and Professor Banoth Ramana Naik, on Friday joined the Congress.

Following their defection, all of the convened with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to formalise their entry into the Congress.

Speculation surrounded the exit of former ZPTC chairman Sunitha Reddy and her husband Patnam Mahender Reddy from the BRS after the couple met Chief Revanth Reddy last week at his residence in Jubilee Hills. She is likely to be given a Lok Sabha ticket from Chevella.

Ex-GHMC mayor Bonthu Rammohan Reddy, who also met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is likely to be given an MP ticket from the Secunderabad constituency.
