SIDDIPET: Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for a four-lane road expansion works from Siddipet Ellamma Temple to Chinnakodur at a cost of Rs 66 crore and later released water from Ranganayak Sagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that water was being released from Ranganayak Sagar as per the request of farmers and on the orders of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Harish Rao said that Ranganayak Sagar would be developed as a tourist centre along the four-lane road being constructed in Siddipet.
The minister took a dig at the leaders of both BJP and Congress over their misinformation campaign on the Kaleshwaram project and stated that the giant project could be completed solely due to the efforts of KCR.
Harish Rao demanded that the BJP leaders in Delhi personally visit Siddipet and see the reality pertaining to the project. He said that the opposition leaders were unable to digest the fact that the farmers were happy with the project and added that Telangana would witness development only under the rule of KCR.
