TANDUR: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has said that the Congress leaders didn't even bother to provide drinking water to the public. He added that the farmers' lives were in the hands of the Government during the regime of the Congress .
"Farmers used to roam around the offices for various works but today everything is transparent on the Dharani portal," he said.
Speaking at a public meeting in Tandur on Wednesday, KCR explained the welfare programmes that were being implemented in the State. He said that check dams were constructed, the level of groundwater had increased in the State and many developmental programmes were in place.
Criticising the Congress, KCR said that the main motto of the BRS Government was to serve and protect the rights of Telangana people.
Recalling the struggle for the formation of Telangana, KCR told the public about how the Congress ignored Lambadis and other downtrodden sections of the society. He expressed happiness that nearly 24 Lambadis had become sarpanchs of gram panchayats in Tandur today. He thanked Sevalal Sena for extending their support. He also said that the birth anniversary of Sevalal would be celebrated on a huge scale in the coming years.
KCR added that Banjara Hills in Hyderabad didn't honour the community during the era of united Andhra Pradesh but it was the BRS Government which constructed a fully developed Banjara Bhavan there.
He concluded that Tandur would be developed if people vote for Pilot Rohith Reddy in the upcoming polls.
